As for using the pod, the first few sessions my son needed a little help fitting the pod in correctly. He finds the advice given by the smartcoach app really beneficial. The data he gets on the smart coach app is amazing, he is often challenging himself to get better. He is quite tall for his age as we normally buy him clothes aged 13/14 with this vest we got youth size and it fits him perfectly. I bought this gps vest for my 11 year old son as he is an aspiring football player. With this i get to see a proper heat map, all my stats: distance, speed, power and sprints, it helps me between training recover with the smart coach it has installed, and really i feel when i wear it, i push myself harder to compete with my previous sessions. I play decent level of football but i’ve never been able to track my statistics the way professionals do. So my friend has been wearing the playr vest for a few months now, and every time i see him and it, we talk about it, so i thought i’d purchase one to try out. The vests come from size xxs which is about an 8 year old (my lad has the xs) so clearly made for younger than 13. Only drawback is the app is set at min 13 so my 10 year old is a little disappointed at his overall score. Actually opting for a different model for the elite academy i’m involved with. The youths did look at the stats – and it did give them a ton more drive and determination to beat their existing records. But with limited info available – there was no way of knowing unless item was bought. It’s these finer details i was hoping to get from this product. But could hold more info: “how long each one was for. The sprint directions was the thing i really looked forward to seeing. Stuff like speed, time ran, distance, and even a heat map can all be found on a standard smart phone app – for free. I would have an endless stream of nerdy information at my finger tips. I was hoping for all the data points it gathers.
